Tour of London

Travel itinerary

Day 1LONDON

Arrival of the group in the morning at London airport, meeting with the guide and beginning the city tour starting with the immense Westminster complex, which was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987 for its magnificence. The abbey was built by Edward the Confessor in the 11th century and its architecture is in the Romanesque style with Gothic remodeling. All fans of English literature and poetry cannot fail to pause for a moment in the so-called Poet's Corner, the corner where the most illustrious poets such as Shakespeare, Byron, Shelley and many, many more are buried. The Palace of Westminster is the building in which the British Parliament is housed, from which the world-famous clock tower "Big Ben" soars.

We will continue the tour by passing Trafalgar Square, overlooked by the prestigious National Gallery and at the center of which stands Nelson's Column in memory of the celebrated admiral hero of the battle. Continuation then to Piccadilly Circus with its thousands of advertising lights, Regent Street and Buckingham Palace, the official residence of the British monarchy in London. Hotel accommodation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2LONDON

After breakfast, meet your guide and tour the City district, the world's financial hub where, in recent years, architects and major companies have been constructing futuristic buildings and converting old warehouses into designer stores and restaurants.

In the City district, in addition to the skyscrapers, soars the white dome of St. Paul's Cathedral and the Tower of London complex, a UNESCO site that holds the Crown Treasury. Crossing the Millennium Bridge, a modern and striking steel pedestrian bridge, we find ourselves on the South Bank, where we can visit the reconstruction of Shakespeare's theater, "Shakespeare's Globe," and the Tate Modern, a very interesting museum of Modern Art. Continuing west on this side of the Thames, we find ourselves at the foot of the London Eye, London's great Ferris wheel.

Time at leisure for individual visits or shopping. Return to hotel in the evening, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3LONDON - ITALY

After breakfast. Meet with your guide for a tour of the British Museum, which holds more than eight million objects that testify to the history and material culture of humanity from its origins to the present day, including friezes from the Parthenon and the Rosetta Stone. At the end, departure for the return journey.
